Since I am the one doing the talking here, it is at least about my opinions. I guess I should explain myself to some extent and here goes.
I quit singing a few years ago and am on the next path in my life. It is with great anticipation I greet each day that offers me opportunity to be useful as well as make our lives at home comfortable and fun. How I try to make our lives comfortable and fun has nothing to do with these pages or what I call useful. However being useful is no less fun.
Teaching was always in the back of my mind. Oh yeah, I can anticipate your thoughts. Is it possible for a tenor to have any attribute that could be termed a mind? That monster question will have to be answered by this tenors results. Questions like that came in handy at times when I came across certain people. “Who can expect a tenor to remember anything?!” usually got me off the hook for taking my own direction through the music. Well it did fail a few notable times, but they were unimportant. Like I was saying…. I knew I was going to teach voice and singing from very early on. I think of my younger students as surrogate children. This is also something I anticipated long ago. This Blog is my way to spread the wealth that glitters before my eyes in Garcia’s books, and a way to offer help where I can be useful.
